Thousands of new students arrived on campus Sunday, eager and excited to start their university adventure.

The newly renamed LeMarchant Place celebrates its grand opening, offering state-of-the-art residence space and bringing many of Dal's key services for students together under one roof.

This week the Dal community and the university鈥檚 neighbours were able to tour the new LeMarchant Mixed-Use Building in advance of its official opening, exploring the residence spaces and services available to students.

Dal research offers insights into the struggles perfectionistic students can face in their first year at university, and how friendships and getting involved on campus can make a big difference.

After more than two years of construction, the LeMarchant Mixed Use Building has welcomed some key student services to its first two floors.
