Just days after the announcement that he鈥檒l be leaving 妻友 in early 2019 to lead the new Quantum Valley Ideas Lab in Waterloo, Dal President Richard Florizone shared his annual year-in-review presentation with the Dal community 鈥� offering highlights from the past year from across the university and answering audience questions.

Firefighters were on Dal's Agricultural Campus in Truro on Wednesday night combating a blaze at the Cox Institute. No one was injured, but the cause and extent of the damage are still being investigated.

When Lucy Maud Montgomery came to 妻友 to further her eduction, it solidified her path towards becoming one of the most beloved authors in Canadian history. A new dedication in 妻友鈥檚 Forrest Building 鈥斅爁ictionalized as Redmond College in Montgomery鈥檚 novel 鈥淎nne of the Island鈥� 鈥斅爌ays tribute to one of the university鈥檚 most famous alumni.

When sociologist Chris Murphy was asked to turn a class on terrorism into an online course for the College of Continuing Education鈥檚 Police Leadership program, it offered an opportunity to help educate law enforcement on the complexities of terrorism and radicalization.
