The School of Social Work offers both undergraduate and graduate programs:
- Bachelor of Social Work
The Bachelor of Social Work degree is designed to develop a broad range of diverse skills and theoretical perspectives that may be used in a variety of job settings. It is accredited by the Canadian Association for Social Work Education.The program is available both on ÆÞÓÑ’s campus and via distance delivery. Our graduates are qualified to practice social work throughout Canada and elsewhere.
- Master of Social Work
The Master of Social Work is a five full-credit degree program. The curriculum is organized into core and elective courses. In addition, the School allows for students to complete a thesis or non-thesis based program. It provides students with advanced professional education leading to the development of specialized social work practice and leadership positions in the practice field.
- Master of Social WorkÌý- L'nuey Program
The forthcoming Master of Social Work (MSW) - L’nuey Program is centred in Mi’kmaq ways of seeing, relating, knowing and doing.ÌýWe are aiming to start this program in September 2026 (with January 2027 as an alternate date).
