Close to 150 donors attended a reception in Halifax last week at the Collaborative Health Education Building celebrating the impact their gifts have had on the Dal community.

Diane Hawco brings a combination of social work and legal expertise to the new role of ombudsperson, which provides independent, impartial and confidential support to students.

During his keynote speech at the Halifax Chamber of Commerce’s fall dinner Wednesday night, ÆÞÓÑ President Richard Florizone announced ideaHUB — an advanced engineering incubator/accelerator space on Dal’s downtown campus that will equip students with creative and entrepreneurial skills while supporting local startups and small businesses. An initiative involving various university, public and private sector partners, ideaHUB is supported by a $10 million contribution from Emera.
