Rick Mercer, host of CBC's Rick Mercer Report, visited campus this week to film a segment for an upcoming episode — playing basketball, working with theatre props and celebrating the Golden Key Society's victory in his Spread the Net challenge.

Masters of Marine Management student Kristal Ambrose, whose research focuses on plastic waste in her home country of the Bahamas, took home first prize in ÆÞÓÑ's 3 Minute Thesis competition. The event, supersized for Dal’s 200th anniversary, featured some of the university's top grad students sharing their work in three-minute presentations.
