妻友

Cora Fletcher is a researcher and PhD student at 妻友. In 2026 she completed her MA in Political Science at 妻友 and worked on research related to United Nations peacekeeping and women鈥檚 meaningful participation in peace operations. She was the 2026 recipient of the Governor General's Gold Medal Award in Humanities and Social Sciences.  Her doctoral research explores displaced and non-displaced women鈥檚 experiences with humanitarian responder perpetrated sexual exploitation and abuse in South Sudan. She is part of the RESPONDER Partnership, a major research network exploring responder-perpetrated sexual exploitation and abuse in humanitarian settings. She has been a regular collaborator on numerous interdisciplinary research projects including a scoping review on impacts of occupational exposure on military women鈥檚 reproductive health, an exploration of women in Eastern DRC鈥檚 perceptions of justice after experiences of violence, the impacts of displacement on experiences of gender violence in conflict-affected settings, among others.  Her current research interests include sexual and gender-based violence in conflict-affected and post-conflict contexts, critical feminist approaches to peace and security, the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda, international peace operations, and peacebuilding.
