Delivered in partnership with the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture, The Faculty of Agriculture welcomed Grade 7 students from Colchester-Cumberland for AgZone 2026 where they explored agriculture through hands-on STEM activities designed to inspire curiosity and creativity.

From landscape design and animal nutrition to food science and making wildflower seed earth dumplings, students had the opportunity to learn by doing while discovering the many ways agriculture connects to science, technology, engineering, business, and the environment.

"Programs like AgZone play an important role in building agricultural literacy, encouraging youth engagement, and helping students understand how agriculture contributes to food security, environmental sustainability, and economic development," said Community Education Officer Jessica Fogarty.
